Shilpa Dinavahi

Shilpa Dinavahi is an Associate Tax Attorney in the Trusts & Estates Department at JKZ LLP. Shilpa is a dual qualified attorney and a CPA admitted to practice in both the US and India. She helps founders, investors, family offices, and technology companies’ on high value tax matters. Her practice focuses on transaction structuring, QSBS planning, correcting cross-border tax disclosures and tax advice. Clients come to her when the tax consequences are significant and the right advice can materially change outcome.

She has practiced tax across three jurisdictions including India, Cayman Islands and US. In her prior roles, she worked with leading technology and semiconductor companies, providing advice on GILTI, Subpart F, FTCs, PFIC and BEAT Regulations. She focused on international tax compliance and planning. Her transfer pricing experience included review of legal agreements, supply chain optimization by developing for best tax efficient structures and IP valuations.

Outside of her practice, Shilpa enjoys exploring San Francisco's coffee shops, swimming in her community club, walking around the city with her husband and playing poker.
