Biography

Stan Sarkisov is an Associate Attorney in the family law department at Johnston, Kinney & Zulaica LLP. Stan's practice includes family law litigation, mediation, and coaching-including working on issues of property allocation/division, child and spousal support, custody and visitation. Stan's practice style prioritizes the client's needs through a cost-benefit analysis of risk/reward. The goal is to maximize the client's desired outcome in the most efficient path towards resolution. Prior to JKZ, Stan worked for a boutique family law firm in Oakland, CA.

Stan received his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he worked at the Unified Family Court as a law student. During law school, Stan was involved with the AIDS Legal Referral Panel (ALRP) and joined the Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF) as a student ambassador. He remains a member of BALIF and enjoys volunteering for his community.

Stan moved to California from Utah in 2009. Coming from a state grounded in "family values," family law was a natural path. Prior to Utah, Stan's family immigrated to the United States in 1992. Stan currently lives in Oakland, CA. For fun, he enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling, and staying healthy.
